Exercise Physiology
Our exercise physiology programs focus on helping you move better, feel stronger, and enhance your overall quality of life. Whether you're aiming to improve general health, recover from injury, manage chronic pain, or navigate a chronic health condition, our Accredited Exercise Physiologists build a personalised program around you.
Chronic Pain Management
Living with chronic pain can be overwhelming - it doesn't just affect your body, it can impact your confidence, movement, sleep, mood, and everyday life. At Functional Phix we understand chronic pain is complex and personal. We take a comprehensive, individual approach with no one-size-fits-all solution.
Classes
Our class timetable is continually evolving to meet the needs of our community. We offer a diverse range of group classes throughout the week, designed to support people of all ages, fitness levels, and health goals - including falls and balance classes, strength and conditioning, mums and bubs sessions, and more.
Hospital to Home
Leaving hospital is often only the beginning of the recovery journey. Our Hospital to Home program helps patients transition safely from hospital back into their home environment with the right support. Services may include physiotherapy, exercise physiology, mobility and balance training, falls prevention, and assistance returning to daily activities - reducing the risk of re-injury or readmission.
Coaching
We prioritise our patients' needs by offering a welcoming and supportive environment where you can comfortably discuss your health concerns. Our commitment extends to fostering lasting relationships, helping you achieve optimal health and wellness through personalised coaching, guidance, and ongoing support.
Pilates
Pilates at Functional Phix is a space to reconnect with your body, rebuild confidence, and rediscover how good movement can feel. Whether you're recovering from injury or surgery, managing chronic pain, or just feeling stiff and disconnected from exercise - our classes are designed to meet you wherever you're starting from.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy uses the natural properties of warm water to support the body, reduce pressure on joints, and make movement feel more achievable. For many clients, it becomes a turning point in their rehabilitation - allowing you to move with less pain, more confidence, and greater freedom than you might experience on land.
Cupping
Traditional cupping therapy uses suction to improve circulation, relieve deep muscle tension, and support recovery from injury and chronic pain. It can be used as a standalone treatment or alongside physiotherapy and massage for enhanced results.
Myofascial Cupping
Myofascial cupping combines traditional cupping with movement to dynamically release fascial restrictions, reduce muscular tightness, and restore range of motion. Particularly effective for chronic tightness, postural issues, and sports recovery.
Women's Health
We provide specialised allied health care for women across all life stages - including pregnancy, postnatal recovery, pelvic floor rehabilitation, incontinence, prolapse, and menopause-related conditions. Our team offers a safe, supportive space to address concerns that are often under-treated.
